Monica has been described as a unicorn—a creative and inspiring big-picture thinker who is equally adept at managing the details during implementation. Throughout her 20-year career, she has reveled in opportunities to see ideas through from conception through completion. She has worked both as a consultant and in-house with organizations such as Nike, REI, Microsoft, Expedia, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Nature Conservancy, bringing deep expertise in change management, employee communications, organizational effectiveness, strategic planning, and talent development. Monica holds a master’s degree in Organizational Transformation and Leadership from Saybrook Graduate College and bachelor’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin. She regularly donates her time to non-profit organizations focused on advancing diversity and educational opportunities. Outside of work, Monica spends her time singing in her choir, hanging with her family, and digging the weeds out of her garden in Portland.
