We’re hiring for a Leadership Development Service Line Lead!

Leadership Development Service Line Lead:

PeopleFirm is seeking a Leadership Development Service Line Lead. This person should be a self-motivated thought leader and subject matter expert with a deep passion for effective leadership development.  Successful candidates will be problem solvers who can create structured solutions in ambiguous or low structure environments.  Further, successful candidates will be both strong self-starters as well as collegial team players.

Conducting client-facing delivery work is a significant aspect of this role, but a strong candidate will also be able to drive business development to fuel the growth of this important service line.  In addition, Service Line Leads also periodically provide quality assurance oversight, thought leadership content, updates, and furtherance of our methodologies and frameworks, and development of our people and their skills.  We’re looking for a person who is based in either Seattle or Portland and can travel as needed for client delivery.  Client delivery and business development are the highest priorities for this role, but this person will also significantly impact the ongoing development of the service line and will continue to build the brand for leadership development as a PeopleFirm service.   Read on for more details:


Client Delivery

  • Provide hands-on client service delivery – anticipated to be at least 60% time allocation; may vary
  • Oversee delivery quality in accordance with PeopleFirm program methodology and best practices
  • Provide strategic guidance for delivery across project portfolios
  • Consult and coach project teams on integrating Leadership Development activities into workstreams/plans and ensure the usage of the best content

Business Development & Account Planning

  • Partner with others in the firm to build new business and grow firm revenue related to our Leadership Development services
  • Build and own portfolio of clients for Leadership Development
  • Act as our brand ambassador for Leadership Development capabilities – create market-facing thought leadership content, represent/speak at conferences, presentations and forums, and events sponsored by the firm or clients

Service Line Ownership

  • Implement strategies to increase market recognition and drive sales of our Leadership Development services within client and prospect organizations
  • Continue working with others in this area to evolve our Leadership Development methodology, particularly including integration of this service line with our other offerings
  • Create, own and maintain delivery templates, tools, and a repository of best practices related to PeopleFirm Leadership Development capabilities

Talent Acquisition & Skills Development

  • Partner with recruiting team to source Leadership Development consulting candidates for hire
  • Conduct interviews and support other recruiting activities
  • Coach PeopleFirm employees in the development of Leadership Development capabilities to ensure a common baseline
  • Support activities to onboard new team members and introduce them to our Leadership Development methodology and project approach
  • Support career development of PeopleFirm consultants, including providing recognition and feedback, retaining key performers, and creating career progression opportunities which enable them to meet their aspirational goals

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; related advanced degree is a plus
  • Certification as an executive/team coach is a significant plus, as is some familiarity with various leadership assessment tools
  • Minimum 10+ years of learning and development experience overall, with at least 7 years of leadership development-related experience; demonstrated thought leadership in Leadership Development topics
  • Demonstrated success in developing and coaching teams, working across a variety of team dynamics
  • Experience designing, developing and delivering workshops
  • Experience with revenue generation and meeting or exceeding individual sales goals
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate at senior levels of various organizations– mid-level management up to executive leadership / CXO level or Boards
  • Based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR and have the ability to travel; relo not considered at this time
